Pre-tribulation rapture doctrine asserts that the rapture is a secret event, that is not pre-announced by any signs. It is then followed by seven years of tribulation. At the end of that period, Christ returns on the clouds, with his holy ones. At that time, those who were “left behind" at the time of the rapture of Christ are gathered to the Lord.

That speaks of two gatherings of believers. One gathering early, followed in seven years by another gathering later. In both gatherings, these believers receive glorified bodies. That clearly constitutes two resurrections according to Pre-tribulational theory.

This is not in agreement with the bible.

Revelation Chapter 20 reads as follows:
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given to them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God, and who had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

This clearly describes those who refuse to take the mark of the beast, and who are beheaded for the testimony of Jesus. Clearly these missed the "Pre-Tribulation" rapture. Yet, they have been gathered to the Lord at this point. Their gathering to him is called THE FIRST RESURRECTION.

How can there be any gathering to him prior to this first resurrection? How can a rapture happen prior to this point and be scriptural?
